So i have a Gateway i got a few years ago and I want to upgrade it. I already got more RAM and have a total of 2g RAM, but i want a new gfx card; I was looking into a Geforce 7900gt I also want a new power supply to go with it.

Could anyoine plase send me links for boitht the card and the supply. My budget is around 500-600 American Dollars.

Thanks, could you describe the performance of the card please? will it be able to run hiend games w/ their settign around high or medium at leasT?

With my system Pentium D 930 3.00GHz, 2gb ram,650watt BFG PSU,BFG Geforce 7900gt oc. I can play Company of Heroes on high settings with good performance, World of Warcraft on high settings, Dawn of War on high settings, Civilization IV on high settings, Rise of Legends on high settings and that is just naming a few its not SLI quality but I am happy with it.

If its an older gateway its unlikely to have a PCI-e slot unless you have replaced the mobo in the last couple of years. So you wont be able to get much from the high end 7 series if you just have AGP(if that you might not even have it).

First thing when upgrading is check your compatibilty. There is links to system spec software in my sig.
