Hi there,

I am not sure why, but recently all my video files have started lagging. At first I thought it could be the Divx codec and upgraded to the latest version, but the lagg still existed.
I then tried using xvid, but the problem still existed. As a last resort I used Nero's codec that comes with Nero Showtime, this however managed to fix the problem, the videos do not lag when I play them in Nero Showtime.

However, they still lagg in all other applications. And the problem is that all videos in my games have started lagging as well. I can run all the games in the absolute highest graphics possible without any lag or glitch, but yet when it comes to playing the videos (pre-rendered cutscenes) it laggs the [bleep] out of my PC.

Here is my PC's specifications:
AMD Athlon 3500+
256MB 6600 MSI gfx card
Windows XP Pro

This problem occured after I switched back to Windows XP from Windows Vista. Since then I have tried re-installing XP, but the problem still occures.

Please assist me,
Thanks in advance.
