AVG is a good one. I'm using this and I'm sure many on this forum are.

Hey, how does that Bit Defender Free work? I got an old computer that's having AVG issues, and I never knew of a better program. I didn't know that BitDefender offered free protection... Is it really good?

To be honest ive not tested Bit Defender Free. I have only discovered recently that there was a free version myself ! I have, however, used Avast for quite some time before I purchased licenced software, I found Avast to be very reliable and it never let me down once during its stay on my computer.

Hey, how does that Bit Defender Free work?

hiya, i have it running on both of my old clunkers and it seems to do well.

its a bit noisy with constant updates sometimes 2 or 3 per day. but i think updates are great stuff :whistling:

there seems to be more than one version. i mean the one on lesia's machine will expire every 60 days or so. but so far this version 8 has been trucking along for months.

its skinnable too which helps with my low vision too. so yes i like it and it runs flawlessly. even here

best regards, john

I like AVG cause it has never let me down. Never tried Avast or BitDefender. If i wipe my XP partition when I reinstall I'll try out Bitdefender or Avast.
