I am about to purchase a new laptop.. i do not care a lot about a mobile laptop, but i want quiete a fast system for not a lot of money... So would an intel P4 be a choice of a Celeron-M.. which would be faster???

well usually p4 would be a bit more pricer- but a pentium M processers that are found in many laptops would be a great choice and would give you great preformance

Here's what you do if you plan to get a celeron. Take $1000 dollars, go straight to the bathroom. Open the toilet lid, stick the cash in, and FLUSH it.

Don't do yourself the diservice of getting a celeron. You'll hate it. They slow down like crazy, they are, in intel's words, "the economy, value-based processor."

If you want performance, you want a pentium.

Celeron-M processors are designed to make the batteries last longer in a laptop whereas the full on P4 processors are designed for raw processing power and throw usage time out of the window... my 3.00GHz uses a whole battery charge up in 2 hours
its up to you what you want... performance or endurance

HAHAHA lol i love this response...i do agree with him too, it was a way for Intel to lower prices on its prodcuts to compete with AMD i think, i would recommend AMD based computers myself because they run faster, cooler and are cheaper but if you must buy intel go with a p4 for the power
