I started to have this porblem after beeing infected by a virus or a malware, i have run ad-aware and norton antivirus, norton said that there is no virus, but i 'm not sure that i haven't completly cleaned my computer. Now each time i open my computer, it takes about 5 minutes for the taskbar to show up and the computer is lagging, and a norton windows appears and it says : "TCP/IP is not installed. Disable email scanning in your symantec product option or install TCP/IP." Can somebody please check out my log and tell what i must do to clean my computer. thank you very much

1.) Download WinsockFix.zip. (by: Option^Explicit)
2.) Unzip WinsockFix.zip (Pay close attention to where the file is extracted to.)
3.) Run WinsockFix.exe.
4.) Click the Fix button.

This program will clean up your TCP/IP connection and rebuild the database. After the program is complete, reboot and start with Updating Java and Clearing Cache
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Java Icon (coffee cup) in the Control Panel.
  • It will say "Java Plug-in" under the icon.
    Please find the update button or tab in the Java Control Panel. Update your Java then reboot.
  • If you are unable to update you can manually update by going here:
  • After the reboot, go back into the Control Panel and double-click the Java Icon.
  • Under Temporary Internet Files, click the Delete Files button.
  • There are three options in the window to clear the cache - Leave ALL 3 CheckedDownloaded Applets
    Downloaded Applications
    Other Files
  • Click OK on Delete Temporary Files Window
    Note: This deletes ALL the Downloaded Applications and Applets from the CACHE.
  • Click OK to leave the Java Control Panel.
Post a new HijackThis log when you are done.

Thx for the reply, but i finished by formatting my computer, and now it's running normally, but once again thx for the advice, it's just that i tryed to fix it by myself and after sometime i messed up the system file. :whistling: so i had to format the hardrive
