I am connected at 54mbps yet when I am downloading a file off the internet its only downloading at 5-10kps. What is causing this? I went out and bought a new wireless G card thinking that would be the problem but its not. Any suggestions?

Hi. How many people are using the router? Does it go faster if you use a wired connection?

What are the other computers doing when you experience bad quality? usually, if they're hogging the resources by gaming or something, then it uses a lot of speed. When you have more than one computer, that makes problems.

Ya, I understand that. Im just wondering how come I can only download at 7kbps instead of 200-300 like I used to be doing. I guessI can only deal with it. Is it possible if I have two viruses, that would be causing it?
