Hey guys,

I just installed my logitech mouse and being the avid gamer i am i wanted to try it out ingame.
Thats when my problem starts, i had functions bound to my mouse 3 and 4 clicks right,
but now when i try to do that it doesnt work anymore.
Its like the games dont pick up my mouse3 and 4 button clicks anymore.

If anyone could help me out with this I would highly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

If it's a gaming mouse by logitech like the mx518 and the g5 and the g7 than you will have a program called the setpoint where you can have access to advanced in game settings for the mouse such as dpi change etc. I am assuming that you bound the functions inside the game, if this is the case than it's bizzare and you shouldpost back with info on what game, what mouse you are using.

Hey guys.

Yes i have a logitech MX510.
I have windows XP.
I tried it in the following games with the same result.
Enemy Territory
Battlefield 2
WoW
Dungeon Siege 2

Before i installed "SetPoint" the mouse driver Windows sellected for it was fine.
But now that i have installed SetPoint and all the proper drivers i can no longer use those
mouse buttons in any game i play, i tried setting the "auto detection" of games inside the
SetPoint proggy but it still didn't work.
Maybe i don't have the settings worked out properly but from all the trial and error that i have
been going through sure doesn't seem to help.
I read through the help file and set the mouse like it says to do but its not working.

Thanks

Hey guys,

You said you would like to hear the results good or bad so here they are.
I found out from a couple of other players that the same thing happened to them and that they didn't know a way to fix the problem.
They think that the setpoint program doesnt pick up the games and transfer the normal button fuctions in game.
But there is a wayward way around this.
Assign one of the mouse buttons a key:
eg. Mouse3 = "i"
Then in game you bind watever function you want to that letter.
eg. bind i = autorun
Then when you click your mouse3 it should make the game think you pressed the "i" key, which in turn triggers the bind.

Its not the solution what i was after, but it is something...
I might just end up buying a new mouse.

Cyas, thanks.
