Every time my computer starts up, I receive the message:

Visual C++ Runtime Library

Buffer Overrun Detected

C:\ProgramFiles\DISC\DISCover.exe

something along the lines of the program has something internally wrong and must shut down.

I read several postings with the same message for different programs and followed the same directions including defragmenting and running the chkdsk thing. I did all of that, and rebooted and got the same message.

It is an HP a1620n with Windows XP Media Center. We only got it 2 weeks ago.

Help please!!!

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
