I am having a strange problem the nature of which is as follows. Whenever, I leave my PC unattended for an extended period of time I have to reboot my system in order to obtain any response from Internet Explore or Outlook Express i.e. unless I reboot my unit I am unable to browse the internet and or access my e-mail accounts. Consequently, I am using this medium to ascertain what can be the cause of this problem and what do I need to do in order to resolve it as I find it very annoying. Any and all suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi volcar,

go to start /control panel / power options (classic view). Click on the Hibernate tab. Uncheck enable hibernate. Click OK. See if that helps.

silverbeard, Thanks for the response it's greatly appreciated, however, the enable hibernate tab on my system was already unchecked therefore I have to conclude that it's not the cause of my problem. Nevertheless thanks again.
