If I start to run Ad-Aware SE, my computer restarts itself after about ten seconds of the program running. There is no countdown, it just restarts itself.

Microsoft's malware program found nothing wrong with my computer.

I ran Hijack This, and this is my log file:

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1
Scan saved at 5:18:51 PM, on 10/15/2006
Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600)
MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180)

Running processes:
C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\HijackThis.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: hnetmxx - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\hnetmxx.dll
O23 - Service: iPod Service - Apple Computer, Inc. - C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe

I have tried removing the two "hnetmxx.dll" files and "ddcyxwx.dll", but they are still there when I run the program again.

I tried running Ad-Aware SE and Hijack This in safe mode, to no avail. Ad-Aware still restarted my computer.

is there anything else I can do?

You should post this in the Maleware Removal section.
