Hi,

My DVD/CDR is not working.

When I go to my computer it is there as a recognised drive but when I put a CD or DVD in it is not reading the disk. (I have tried a number of disks).

I even deleted the drivers and re-installed them.

I have changed by DVD/CDR it was working fine up until a couple of days ago.

Can someone please offer some advice.

Generally if reinstalling drivers does not work the drive has failed and you need to replace it. Just because it works once in a while it has still failed. You can try a cleaning cd on the drive but that is usually only a temporary fix. DVD/CD combo drives are relatively cheap.
