Also, in the task manager, there are 2 doctor watsons that come up. One takes up 8000 kb and one takes 2000. Thats why I think there is a virus or something.

Do you notice the click here link in the prompt?
Next time it comes up, use that link and relay the data in the error report.
That should tell us some more.

I don't see anything we can hold responsible.

Let's see if the fault is in DrWatson itself or if it is triggered by something.

To do so copy the part in bold below into notepad and save it as stopwatson.reg
Set Filetype to "all files"

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug]
"Auto"=dword:00000000

Doubleclick that file and confirm you want to merge it with the registry.

Reboot the computer and let me know if it still crashes on something.

Well. At least now we know which process was responsible.

Explorer.exe is not good news though.

Are Windows and IE fully updated?

Windows is updated for everything except IE 7 and a patch for Windows defender, but it won't let me install them.

I clicked on ok the first time and everything continued as normal. I clicked cancel to debug the next time and DrWatson came up again. But this time I didn't have to cancel it with the task manager I hit don't report in the popup and it loaded properly. This is very confusing.

Hang on. There is a special procedure required if you have IE7.

I have to look that up when I get home.
That will be in about 9 hours. :whistling:

Can you follow the instructions to create and run FixUpdate.bat here:
http://www.jsifaq.co...ip.aspx?id=9981

Then for the first set of updates surf to:
http://v4.windowsupd.../en/default.asp

Let me know if that works.
