Hi,

This is my first post and I am new to this so please bear with me.
I use windows xp home (oem version)
I have a problem with my quickcam communicate web cam.
If I right click on my quickcam icon in the taskbar and open it from there I can snap a picture
without problems. But if I go to my computer & click on Quick Cam and try to snap a picture,
as soon as I snap the picture I get a blue screen saying something about LVCM.sys could be the cause of the problem. Anyways heres my HiJackThis log:

Hi Friends,

I waited a few days for a reply but since there wasn't one I decided to try and repair this problem myself and suceeded!!! :whistling:

For anyone having this problem with quickcam communicate here is how I did it:

1) I downloaded RegSeeker from http://www.snapfiles.../regseeker.html (its freeware)

2) Then opened it & clicked search registry.

3) In the search box I typed in logitech

4) It then showed me all registry entries of logitech & I deleted them.

5) After that I reinstalled the newest drivers from logitech.com for quickcam communicate but the problem was still there!!!

6) I knew then it had something to do with the drivers or something else in the quickcam communicate software.
I then repeated steps 1 thru 4 needless to say!

7) Just by luck my father in law happened to have a Quickcam 8.4.6 installtion cd.

8) It also had the drivers for the quickcam communicate so I installed the drivers only at first then tested everything and it worked just fine with my webcam.

9) After that I went ahead and installed all of quickcam software from the 8.4.6 Logitech installation cd and it all works just fine now.

For some reason the newest driver update was causing this stop error.
Now its resolved & I hope this info may be of help to someone having this same problem or a similiar one.
This fix is not by any means a guarantee or 100 percent sure to fix anyones computer with the same problem, however it did work for me.

Kind Regards,nuka
