I would like to know if WMP is able to rename your song files based on the name, for instance the filename would be "Song - Artist"

Also, a bit further of a stretch, would there be a way for WMP to automatically organize these files into their respective directories of \My Music\Artist\Album\

Media Player won't rename them, but if it can find the CD in the online CD database, it will use them in the filenames, otherwise it'll just save them as an unknown album and "Track 1", etc. As to organisation, WMP out of the box sorts the CDs into their own folders when you rip the CD.

Alright, one more question, then.

I have a friend that writes his own music, and I have it all on my music library. For some strange reason, his songs do not list in alphabetical order. All of his songs are labeled as the same artist and same album, and the filenames are all alphabetically ordered correctly. What's wrong?

The order Media Player lists things in is entirely separate to how Windows does it. Therefore if you get Media Player to list things in a certain order (via a playlist for example), it will stick. Windows just by default sorts everything in alphabetical order.

How does WMP sort, then? as far as I can tell, when I sort by artist, it lists artists in alphabetical order, then by their album, then by track name. For some reason, this isn't the case for this particular one.
