I'm running windows 2003 server. I have a DSL line. The connection works fine for awhile, but after awhile the connection just stops working, I can't disconnect, connect or anything. When I go to the network properties and try to open the properties window it doesn't open. Well it opens for a split second, flickers, perhaps a single frame and then disappears again. I can't do anything, I can't disconnect or delete it.

The only thing I could find was this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/825826

But I don't think this describes the same problem I'm having. Also I'm sorry if this problem has repeated itself, but I have no idea what to search for since the only symptom is the flickering properties screen.

dsl line via windows setup wizard, using broadband that you have to manually click to connect to. It resets about every 24 hours to give me a new IP... No settings have been altered.

All the setups have been made via wizards my network card is RTL8029.

It's an old ethernet card, so is it possible it's dying?

Nope. Since that computer is rarely used by me it's hard to diagnose it...

But anyway svchost crashes and the reason is something a faulting msvcrt.dll file. I couldn't find anything on google tho'.
