Hi.

I've done the G2G search for my particular problem, and I found another persons asking my exact question. But that other person didn't get a reply, so I thought I'd try it.

I'd like to remove Outerinfo. When I try to uninstall it, I get a Windows pop-up telling me that I don't have the uninstaller, so I need to go get it from www.outerinfo.com/UiUninstaller.exe. So off I go. But my browser is telling me that the different outerinfo links are 404.

What's next?

Can I remove the program "by hand"--by which I mean searching for the installed bits and deleting them one by one? (I'm actually kind of used to this. Very, very few programs, I've found uninstall 100% of themselves. Maybe that's just true in my case because I tend to customize everything. Still, I routinely search for the scraps left behind after I uninstall anything.)

I'd love to learn that there was a better way to deal with Outerinfo.

Thanks,

Andy

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
