So, as ComboFix was going through its stages, text in the blue window said "Please allow ComboFix to reboot your computer." The computer rebooted and a black screen came up giving me 2 options to run: Windows Home Edition or Recovery Console. I chose Windows Home Edition, and it came to a blue screen that read several things:
Checking file system on C: CHKDSK is verifying files
Deleted an index entry with ID 1510 from index $SDH of file 9 (It said this a bunch of times; every time there was a different ID, though).
CHKDSK is verifying file data (Stage 4 of 5)
Cleaning up 56 unused index entries
Fixing mirror copy...
Security Descriptor verification completed
CHKDSK is verifying free space (Stage 5 of 5)
Then I walked away and it apparently rebooted and went back to asking me whether I wanted to run Windows Home Edition or Recovery Console. This time I chose Recover Console but it didn't do anything, so I exited and chose Windows Home Edition but pressed F8 and chose to run in safe mode.
Then a blue screen came up that said "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. SESSIONS_INITIALIZATION_FAILED"
I couldn't exit out or anything, so I pressed the power button on my computer to turn it off and again to turn it back on. Then it came back to the screen that asked if I wanted to run Windows Home Edition or Recovery Console. I chose Windows home edition and start normally. Now it's back to:
Checking file system...
CHKDSK is veryifying data... etc.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Please help, it feels like I'm going in circles!
