as i thought after i typed control panel, cliclked OK..the task bar flashes and dissapears!!
what arev the mains olutions to fix the exlorer.exe
by the way not sure if tghis may help, but i cant see no Intenet Explorer..any relation to the cause?

Running a repair install will leave your data and settings as they are now, but fix this

It does take a couple of hours when you include the updates but will be as quick as hunting for files, especially when you cannot find the service pack entries, which would be an update thing usually

im afraid i foolishly ran the repair installation this morning, very anxious..im so new to this!!
and it hasnt cured any of the problems!!

i cannot follow POST 4, as my pc freezes when i click on the ADMIN option..very frustrating!

Did you try it without a password, just click admin and press enter

i have done..no responce.
i can only get into MY "account" (through safe/comman prompt)..and when i do, same sutaution, no tool bar..when i press cntrl, alta nd delt to get the task manager, it would freeze!!

And as i have already performed the UPDATE INSTALLATION, has it affected the "last working mode" ??
Update and repair installaton is the same thing right?
