Hello everybody,

I've just bought a new pc, specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
2x 1GB Corsair PC5300 Cas 5 Latency
MSI P965 Neo-F
Club3D 7950GT 512MB
2x WD Caviar 250GB 8MB 7200rpm
Huntkey 450W
Samsung SH-S182D (specs)

Everything works perfect but the dvd drive, when i try to copy something from a DVD/CD my cpu usage raises to 100% and my whole PC slows down, windows says "36 minutes remaining" with a 700MB file, it works, but extremely slow, a friend of my has exactly the same PC and exactly the same problem.

What i've allready tried:
Disconnecting one of the HDs (to eliminate power supply problems)
Reinstalling the drive
Check the temperatures (+/- 30 celcius  )
Another DVD and another CD
Checked DMA to be enabled
Searched in the BIOS

With no effect at all...

The drive doesn't share the IDE cable, it's the only IDE device connected (my HDs are SATA).

I don't think the drive is just being stupid because another friend has the same drive in his PC (same pc, but only one HD, and a E6300 instead of a E6600 on an Asrock ConroeXfire eSATAII)

Does anyone knows a solution?
I don't know where to look anymore :whistling:...

I found the solution :whistling:,

1) The jumper was misplaced

2) Installing the RAID drivers (it really works :s )
