Formatting using CD

[font=Arial Black][i]I have got a formatting cd and i want to format my computer, how do i go about doing that. i have been told to put the cd in and restart the computer but that doesn't work. I've tried pressing every F button there is but it still doesn't work. HELP PLEASE!
