In the installers for 2 games I've purchased, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Flight Simulator X; they always encounter errors whenever they write or modify a certain file in the temp directory.
Luckily the tech support for Ghost Recon directed me to a batch file with these lines:

with Flight Simulator X though, i'm not as lucky. I gathered a log from the installation:

Again there's a reference to a temp folder. I was wondering if there was anything wrong on my side that would cause this to happen.
