Call of Duty 2 Error

After I am playing CoD2 for about a minute, the game freezes up, goes to the menu, and says:
Error
SaveDevice_PC-TempSaveGame:
Cannot open file for saving.

Can anyone help me?

Run checkdisk on your hard drive to see if that resolves the issue.

Make sure you have sufficient free space available.

download and install SpeedFan to see if your system is having heat related issues.

also try updating your video and sound drivers.
