Hey guys this is really stressfull and annoying, i have adsl. my brother and i keep getting disconnected from the internet! I called my service provider and they sent a guy over to check the connection he said everything looks fine, he said if it happens again buy a new router so we did. We still keep getting disconnected!

i am currently runnin windows xp home and so is my brother.


thanks you in advance guys ! ANY help is much appreciated !

Hi. Please disconnect power from your modem and router for at least 15 seconds. Next, plug the router in, and wait another 15 seconds, and then plug in the modem. Once all the right test lights are displayed, you may try to get online. Sometimes the modem and router just need to be reset.

well i've had this problem for almost a month... i remember i posted here and u helped me, but the problem came back. No i haven't done anything what so ever

Alright. Does your ISP have the "test your line" feature? Usually when you call, and anutomated voice will ask you if you want the system to check for you. See if you can do that. The machine will give you a true report as to if your DSL line is the issue (on their side).

i guess the dont have it =/ tried calling all there is is "pay your bill online" and customer service, and soe other bundle prices, nothing on testing the line

Darn, that would have been good to try too... Your ISP won't help you run any more tests?
