I used my brother's restore CD for windows XP,
and now it is telling me I can't use it anymore because I need a
product key.

does anyone know a way around this or something I could do? I have 3 days left.

okay. so I lied again.

I went through all of the steps you said in your sticky post.

I tried to activate it by telephone 3 times, and each time it told me it couldn't help me, that my software wasn't recognized.

now I am running out of time and patience.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!
