Hey,

I was just sorting stuff on my desktop when I noticed I was receiving data.

(see screenshot attached)

As you can see in the NetMeter window screenshot, you can see it marked as "DL:0.7KBs"


It doesnt normaly do this and the speed varies between 0.7 and 1KBs.


What does this mean??

are you on broadband? if you are...then there should always be a small amount of traffic...both in and out...as you're always connected...the server's you connect to at the isp have to continually send you info and you have to send it back for you to stay connected...your modem has to do the same with your pc as well to stay connected to the modem

Cheers man, I understand now. Shortly after posting my first post, Norton displayed a message saying my virus protetion had been updated, so I think it was that.
