Search for files and folders returns duplicate results?

I just did a search for all of the .doc and .xls files on my pc and most (if not all) of the files it found were shown twice in the results. They all are identical (same folder, name, size, mod. date, etc) but when you go to the folder of each file there is only one. Anyone ever ran across this? Thanks
