Can't Open folders

Hello, I've been having problems with my computer for the last couple of days, most of which began when I installed Windows XP service pack 2. I cant seem to open any folders on my desktop or my Control Panel. When I attempt to, the computer hangs and I get a drwatson error similar to many of the other topics posted lately. I also cant print documents from Word and AIM crashes when I open a text box. I can, however, run most of the programs on my desktop. Ive done everything that was listed in the stickies and tried many spyware removers and anivirus programs: Spysweeper, Trojanhunter, CWshredder, Spybot, Norton, Spyware Doctor, Ad-aware, Registry Mechanic, and I followed instructions given to me on messageboards similar to this one on how to use them properly. These things got rid of the ABOUT: Blank thing at startup (although it looks like its still there, according to the Hijack this report...)
I am still having these problems, however. If anyone could help me fix these problems, I would very much appreciate it.
