Allright, the other day, I ran a program and it installed a bunch of adware on my computer. This I have since removed (to my knowledge) but whatever installed this stuff also made the following changes that I have found on my computer:

I have lost the ability to right click on the desktop, I cannot access internet explorer's internet options, both my search command and run command are disabled. I have tried entering the start menu properties but that is also disabled. I originally did not have access to the task manager but after running Task Manager Fix, I got this ability back. Anytime I try to access any of the above functions, I get the following reply:

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

I have rechecked in the control panel and I am still the computer administrator (the only account on my computer). I have read thru forums trying different things but none of the following works. Looking for some more ideas... this is my most recent HijackThis log:

Sorry for the delay in response. If you still need help with this, please do the following:

* The Hijack This log you posted is incomplete. Please post it again and this time make sure that you copy and paste all of the log. To do that, open Hijack This and click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.

* Click here to download SmitfraudFix.zip and save it to your desktop.

• Unzip (extract) the contents of SmitfraudFix.zip to a new SmitfraudFix folder on your desktop.
• Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click the smitfraudfix.cmd file.
• Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"
• A text file will appear, which lists the infected files that it finds, if any.
• Copy and paste the contents of that report into your next reply to this thread.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

After you click the "Save List" button, you will be asked where to save the file. Pick a place to save it then the list should open in notepad. Copy and paste that list here.
