I recently got this zlod.trojan thing and now it's completely stuffed everything up with all these pop-ups and continually tells me to download this and download that. I ran spybot, killed the spyware, ran my registered norton test ... came up with absolutely nothing! I don't understand that. I tried that panda activescan and it froze midway detecting only 2 spywares, while another program aimed at detecting trojans located the zlod.trojan but i didnt know what to do about it so, obviously, i did nothing. HijackThis came up with nothing out of the ordinary imo, but im no techie and that's why i'm looking for someone's wonderful help in this forum. I'm also working from my laptop at home if that counts for anything. Here's the log of my HijackThis:

Hi cascader

Welcome to GTG! :whistling:

Sorry for the late reply. If you still need help with this, please do the following:

* Click here to download SmitfraudFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Unzip (extract) the contents of SmitfraudFix.zip to a new SmitfraudFix folder on your desktop.
  • Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click the smitfraudfix.cmd file.
  • Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"
  • A text file will appear, which lists the infected files that it finds, if any.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that report into your next reply to this thread.
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
