Does anyone know how this happened. I have not downloaded anything on this computer and all of a sudden my memory dissapeared..

Do you mean harddrive?

Did you empty the recycle bin?

Did you create a new account, and leave the old account without emptying the trash?

Nope my accounts the only one on the computer. Yeah its the hard drive and its really bugging me because i know somethings on it. I downloaded that AVG virus scanner and it found 7 but when its scanning i see it go threw all these files that i tried to delet when i got the computer from my parents. Ive tried search and got most of them...is there a quicker way to delete the un used files?
Thanks

Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

You're supposed to wait patiently until someone comes along and helps you

You got this from your parents?

If so, you can delete the following, though they are not your problem

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\Userinit.exe
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C8B2A36-3DB1-42A4-A3CB-D426709BBFEB} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {ACB1E670-3217-45C4-A021-6B829A8A27CB} - (no file)
O4 - Global Startup: Cisco Systems VPN Client.lnk = C:\Program Files\Digital Path\DPN Client\vpngui.exe

O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\IEExtension.dll
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\IEExtension.dll

Wrong tool for the wrong job.

Go here, get this:

http://www.werkema.c...pacemonger.html

This will help you to identify wasted space, but DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING. I can already tell you're impatient and that is the surest way to a toasted machine. Just report back.
