I am new to this site and these two popups keep occuring on my computer. (Outerinfo,Oinadserver) I have run spybot S&D, Norton, Spyware Doctor and No Adware to try to get rid of these annoying advertisements that bring my computer to a halt. If i could get some help as to how to remove these it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have gone through the steps to remove this in another thread today. But, if you could look at my logfile and tell me if you see any problems i would appreciate it. And so far outerinfo and oinadserver popups have stopped.

Sorry for the delay in responding to you, I've had a hard drive problem..(not malware related ) and had to reinstall everything.
I'll post after work today; in the meantime could you get a report from the following.

Run this online virus scan:(MUST use IE) ActiveScan

• Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
• A new window will open...click the Check Now button - Enter your Country - Enter your State/Province - Enter your e-mail address and click send(*NOTE it's perfectly safe to do so..You will NOT be spammed from this) - Select either Home User or Company
• Click the big Scan Now button
• If/when you get a notice that Panda wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
• It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
• When download is complete, click on Local Disks to start the scan
• When the scan completes, if anything is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location like your desktop so you can post it here.

Also please post an Uninstall List:
To get an Uninstall List from HijackThis:

• Open HijackThis, click Config, click Misc Tools
  
• Click "Open Uninstall Manager"
  
• Click "Save List" (generates uninstall_list.txt)
  
• Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.

Nothing was detected with the panda scan. So does that mean that i was able to remove everything by what i did by following another post on geeksquad as i said i did earlier?

I'm not sure about EVERYTHING as there is one file/entry I'm a little concerned about.

Do you know of this file and what it is for?? If not would you do the following

First enable viewing of hidden files as follows:

• Go to My Computer, and click on the "Tools" menu
• Click "Folder options"
• Select the "View" tab
• Make sure "Show hidden files and folders" is selected
• Make sure "Hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked
• Make sure "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" is unchecked

Then using the windows search function; search for the file ScanSys32.exe (make sure to check the box to search for system/hidden files under search options) It will most likely be in c:windows or c:windows\system32 folder.

Once you find it/the path to it; please do one of the following.

1) go to http://virusscan.jotti.org and use the upload function there to get the file scanned and post the results here. (Depending on time of day and how busy they are this CAN take up to 20-30 minutes..not always but it may.

If it takes to long you can do the following

2)Please download the Suspicious File Packer from here:
http://www.safer-net...g/files/sfp.zip
Unzip it to the desktop and run it.

Paste the path to the file that you found into the Suspicious File Packer window:

Allow SFP to pack the files. This will generate a CAB archive on your desktop. Please go HERE and post the cab file there..just name thread cab file for birdsong or some such..no need to register. Detailed instructions are in the 1st post on that page. Thanks very much.

Other than that one file you look great..once I get the detail of that file (if it even still exists on your computer..it may not) we can wrap this up.

GREAT... I was half hoping that would be the case...(file not there) and half hoping I could get a copy of it.....Oh well... probably AVG took care of it some where between the last HijackThis log and this one......

Take a look HERE regarding the AskJeeves/MyWay search bar..if you do not wish to keep it you can just check O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4D25F921-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll in HijackThis and then click "fix checked". It is NOT considered malware more like slyware as it not real forth comming in it's disclosures.

Other than that your log is clean.

First, let's reset your hidden/system files and folders. System files are hidden for a reason and we don't want to have them openly available and susceptible to accidental deletion.
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading UNSELECT Show hidden files and folders.
* CHECK the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Next, let's clean your restore points and set a new one:

Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs from changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which are likely to be infected)1. Turn off System Restore.On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
2. Restart your computer.

3. Turn ON System Restore.On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
[/list]System Restore will now be active again.

To reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster and SpyWareGuard and IE/Spyad.

SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard are by JavaCool and both are free programs. SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed and consumes no system resources. SpywareGuard offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.

IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It is free.
