1. First establish your content. What is it [your content]? Submit your content to appropriate sites. Such as videos to google video and youtube, or basically any hosting directories. And if your content doesn't suck (and you attatch your URL to your content) you should see a lot more hits.

2. Submit to search engines and make a easily navigatable site. Such as: don't let the user's mind get bored and run off when all they are trying to do is download the newest comic you made (or whatnot).

3. Feedback.. It works. People LOOOOVE feedback. I don't reply to my feedback, but they still keep sending.
