Please Help!

I can't open Control Panel or Windows Explorer... get Dr.Watson errors.

OS: Windows XP Home Edition

I have run:
Ad-aware SE (using latest updates). Returns approx 30-40 Critical issues. All issues are 1 of three problems (1) CoolWebSearch; (2) VX2; (3)IBIS Toolbar

After Ad-aware finished and I have selected all issues, I click the [Next] button (typically prompts you for a delete confimation)... but it just hangs.

I can't seem to get these issues eliminated.

Problem Solved!

After trolling around the forum, I was able to get rid of all of my issues. For what it's worth, here is the light version of the steps to my recovery:

(1) Rebooted WinXP in Safe Mode
(2) Ran "services.msc" (no quotes) from the [Start][Run] dialog and disabled the "Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Helper" service.
(3) Rebooted WinXP in Safe Mode (with Networking)
(4) Ran AboutBuster.exe (after getting the updates) - Found and removed a couple of issues.
(5) Ran "Ad-aware SE v1.05" Performed full system scan... - THIS TIME IT PERMITTED ME TO CLICK THE [NEXT] BUTTON AFTER THE SCAN AND ALLOWED ME TO DELETE THE ITEMS.
(6) Ran "CWShredder"
(7) Ran "Disk Cleanup"
(8) Ran "Norton 2004 Live-Update"
(9) Ran "Windows XP Update"
(10) Ran "Norton 2004 Scan" - Performed full system scan... results included 10 issues. 7 were deleted normally by Norton. 3 remaining were deleted using "Symantec Adware.Iefeats Removal Tool 1.0.1"
(11) Ran "Ad-Aware SE v1.05" - Performed full system scan... results clean
(12) Reboot, Reboot... and Reboot Again
