Hi all

I cannot start my laptop.
Error message ''winlogon.exe unable to locate component SHLWAPI.ddl not found'' appeared.

Previous to this I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 and was prompted to restart the system to complete the download.
The system shut down and on restart I received the error message[s] and could go no further.

After I ok'd the message another appeared ''Isass.exe SHLWAPI.ddl not found;

A third ''Services.exe SHLWAPI.ddl not found'' showed then the screen returned to windowsxp logo.

Any ideas would be much appreciated .
Thanks.

You will need to try and fix or reinstall your operating system using the CD or DVD the program came with.
