Hi,

My PC is infected with viruses, adware, spyware and trojan. The problems are so rampant that I can't even post a topic in the relevant forum. My antivirus program doesn't load (norton2003 - trial version). I purchased mcafee anti virus but I can't install it.

I can't even run hijackit because the window closes immediately. I managed to do an online scan using semantic and it reported a total of 55 problems. I am giving the details. Can someone please help?

This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter. It will process then start. Your desktop and icons will disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, it will be ready for a reboot. Press any key to reboot. After the reboot notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!
If after the reboot the log does not open double click on it in the l2mfix folder.

Then find HijackThis.exe, rightclick it and rename it to bsxsys.exe
Then run it click Scan and choose to save the log.
Post that log as well.

Oh boy. Worse then I thought.

It's no use trying to fix this with HijackThis if you can't keep the window open.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Better print out the following or save it in a textfile, because you will have to work in safe mode on this.
Follow the instructions carefully.

Double click SDFix.exe and choose Install to extract it to its own folder on the Desktop. Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
• Choose your usual account.

• Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
• Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
• It will remove any Trojan Services or Registry Entries found then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
• Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
• When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
• Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt.
• Finally copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt back onto the forum with a new HijackThis log
