Router Resetting

I just stole my sisters Buffalo WBR2-G54S router, and tried to upgrade the firmware. I must've used the wrong firmware or something, because now, the router resets itself every 4 seconds! :whistling:

I tried to ping it, and it would ping successfully for 3 - 5 pings, then says "hardware error" and "request timed out", which means theres not enough time for me to reset it or anything.

I tried pressing the reset button manually, but nothing seems to happen... no matter how short or long i hold it in for.

Do you think theres no hope for it now?

[Edit] Meh, I finally got the router working after playing around with the firmware a bit. Then I was stupid enough to plug in the wrong power cord and burnt the whole thing... Guess its not a lucky day for me.
