Whats a dual core system thats decent but under 200 bux

Not enough information for anyone to give you a reply. AMD? Intel Pentium D dual core? Intel Core 2 Duo? A system for under $200? A SYSTEM?

OK, How about some motherboard/cpu combos. Of course you are talking about a minimum of the 800 series intel processors or the AM2 AMD processors( both are dual core).

The cheapest AMD AM2 and a gigabyte Mb is $480

The problem is the chipset on the above board is substandard to me. So lets go with a good intel MB for $190 after a $50 rebate.

After buying one of these you are left with a partial system that is already obsolete. Wait till after christmas and you will be able to get a core 2 duo system for a relatively good price, and the system will not be obsolete as soon as you buy it.When Intel brings out their quad core processors the core2 duo prices will drop.
