:) :) Hi everyone!

;) I have read the instruction, as i was informed that i had to mention this :)

My problem :help:

Can someone please help me to get rid of CWS (Cool Web Search) "Homepage". ;).
I have been trying everything. But i cant delete it. Only XoftSpy manages it to find it, no other scanning software does. :tazz:.
I have also tried using CWS Shredders but they to couldnt find anything. I ll post my HijackThis.exe scan, any HELP would be highly appriciated :help: :) :help: :)

P.S I also suspect other malware realted problems, anything that anyone can pick out would greatly be appricated once again. THANKS in advance :)

Hi, thanks for ur response, I think i have cleard CWS "Homepage" somehow, because Xoft Spy doenst seem to detect it anymore, But still not sure. I have also encountered other reoccuring melware that i am concerned about, using scanners such as , Spy Emergency and Scan Spyware and SpyBOt Search and Destroy.

Press Control-Alt-Del to enter the Task Manager.

Click on the Processes tab and end the following processes:

C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe<<You can reinstall this when we are through. It interferes with fixes.

Exit the Task Manager when finished.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.


Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin
Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you.


Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we will take another look.
