can a 3 Ghz processor be able to go with a Compaq Armada M700 hopefully?

I don't think so....that model comes with a P 3... 500 Mhz processer...upgradable to 700 Mhz...you could call compact to be sure but my bet is the motherboard won't support it

There is no way that will ever happen.. You cannot put a 3ghz processor in your computer. That laptop uses the socket 370 processor / motherboard and it is 3 generations behind the current processors. Your laptop only supports up to 1.0ghz pentium 3 processor.

If you are looking for anywhere near the 3ghz speed range you will have to buy a whole new laptop and you cannot upgrade laptops internals like you could in a desktop. If you had a desktop instead you would still end up having to buy all new parts. You could maybe save the cd rom, and harddrive and thats it if you currently had a desktop instead of a laptop.
