I followed Steps 1-4 on the main malware thread. I then found the specific thread for PurityScan (now that I had the name) and followed all of those steps. The last step said to post a HiJackThis log along with the last AVG log to insure that everything has been cleansed. I'm not sure if everything is gone or not since I've only completed these tasks this evening; however, it does appear that the annoying popups have stopped. Please let me know if you see anything out of the ordinary in the logs. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

BTW - The wowexec.exe looks suspcious, but I'm no expert.
