My cd drive is saying Not accessible;the drive is not ready.It wont read anything.Please help :whistling:

remember we are working blind so bare with us
to help others reply to your question
if you haven't mentioned it yet:
- what model of computer
- what os, XPpro or home
- how old is it

runbox command
- press keyboard buttons: winkey + r
- paste this in slot: devmgmt.cpl
- press: enter
- click the drives
- do you see any yellow blobs on drives
(means drivers are misssing)

runbox command
- press keyboard buttons: winkey + r
- paste this in slot: diskmgmt.cpl
- press: enter
- see if your drives has a letter with it
(if no, it means the drive letter has not been asigned)

- what burning program are you using
