Alright in August I got WMP 11 and all was well and dandy until I realized that

A) it doesn't play in Firefox (my browser of choice)
B)doesn't play DVD's without buying a codec

so I attempted to uninstall it and well it wasn't successful....
I tried using instructions...it said to wait for something to say that it had rolled back..never happened...

I tried using add/remove windows components but that feature is so assinine (sp?) it didn't work....

so I don't really want to restore back to August if I don't have too so if you could point me in the right direction...and by that I mean tell me exactly what to do I'd be happy

I ran into a snag...

I clicked remove and this thing came up saying that if I did it would roll back to a previous version..so I click ok and this window pops up-




I hit finish and it just acts as if nothing happened...nothing gets removed

Yea it still says 11 and yes I had System Restore on when I installed 11.....I just figured there would be an easier way to get role back WMP 11

Click Microsoft User-Mode Driver Framework Feature Pack 1.0.0, and then click Remove.
Follow the instructions that appear in the Software Update Removal Wizard.
If the Wudf01000 confirmation dialog box appears, click Yes to continue. When the software removal process is complete (it might take several minutes to complete), click Finish.
