runtime said it couldn't until WMP 11 was and then WMP 11 said it rolled back but it didn't do anything...

you mean start > run > C:\Program Files

if so then yes

if you mean something else then you'll have to tell me because its not ringing many bells...

That's the one, find windows media player, click the folder to highlight, click move, move it to my documents, reboot

Try to remove runtime 11

Let me know how this goes

It says its being used by another user/thing

so I closed everything and it still says this

If you haven't got VLC player, try that to see if it will run the firefox things etc

no worries man....

Its not like really important more like a nuscence (sp?)

if I need to see a vid that bad I'll just use IE....

alright I'll be waiting to hear back :whistling:

Is the version of 11 you have, the one released today or the beta

have you tried to just do a reinstall

cause it looks like your install was incomplete

after your done installing then uninstall windows player 11

disable firefox while you do this

I'm not sure

it may be the Beta

its version 11.0.5705.5043

yes I have reinstalled it.....

but what I want to do is rollback to WMP 10 because there isn't a codec out for Firefox (for free anyway) nor is there a free codec out so I can play DVD's in WMP11 (to the best of my knowledge anyway)...
