My computer freezes everytime I try to play CoH or some other game. I know the GC is not overheating because I cleaned out the computer completely and there's good air flow. It freezes less than a second into the game starting. I've tested the system with several games but each has done, basically, the same thing. I don't know what the problem is.

I checked the computer using Windows Memory Diagnostic and it said that there were no errors. Supposedly it checks the RAM and hardware for issues; it found not a single thing wrong with the computer, though. I ran it through another diagnostic at (Link: http://www.pcpitstop.com' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.pcpitstop.com)http://www.pcpitstop.com and there were no issues found either. I'm pretty much at a loss now. The computer is acting a bit strange sometimes (loading slower than it should) but I might just be imagining it.

My system is:

Windows: Windows 2000 5.0 (Build 2195) Service Pack 4
Internet Explorer: 6.0.2800.1106
Memory (RAM): 1024 MB
CPU: AMD Athlon™ XP 2400+
CPU Speed: 1991.2 MHz
Sound card: SB Audigy 2 Audio [A400]
Display Adapters: RADEON 9500 PRO / 9700 | RADEON 9500 PRO / 9700 - Secondary | NetMeeting driver
Screen Resolution: 1024 X 768 - 16 bit

first get everest home and run it...then click on the + sign on the computer section...then click on sensor...use printscreen or what ever capure progeam you use to get pic of that screen and post it back here...we can then make sure your temps and voltages are OK...

http://www.filehippo...d_everest_home/

then get hijackthis here and post the log in the security section...
this will let us us know if the slow booting is caused by malware

Attached is the screenshot of Everst. Further below is the log from HiJackThis! I believe that I did it alright. I should say that I recently ghosted the computer because of this problem (incase it was software or virus related) and that didn't help in the least. There are no viruses on the system, that I know of, and I do regular sweeps with HighJackThis! and Norton.
