Sorry for the delay

I would install only the new drive, install either version of XP, install the firewall and anti virus programmes, update them, update XP

Install any programmes which are used by anything on the original drive

Add the other drive and transfer what you need

Thank you so much, Keith! Everything is up and running, and I didn't lose any data!
