:tazz:
Images blocked in Outlook Express incoming mail. Boxed RED"X" shown in lieu of image.
Cannot figure out how to open images, which are puzzles send by a friend. Microsoft Support describes similar situation fpr Windows XP, Service Pack 2, but the recommended solution does not appear to be applicable to Windows ME.

ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

Have you checked your security settings in IE? Or the people sending you e-mail with pix may not have their mail client set up to send the pix :

The reason for the red 'x' is that Outlook Express can't find the image on your computer. To fix this, make sure Outlook Express sends all images together with the message.

To fix broken images in emails written in Outlook Express:

Select Tools | Options... from the menu in Outlook Express.
Go to the Send tab.
Click the HTML Settings... button under Mail Sending Format.
Make sure Send pictures with messages is checked.
Click OK.
Click OK again.

Hope this helps.
