Hi,

I'm trying to install oracle 9i in one of the machines and it gives an error message saying "error in writing to file C:\oracle\ora92\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14_g.jar".. there is an option to retry and it does not happen. I cancel that component alone. But the installation turns to be unsuccessful..

does anybody have any idea as to why this is and a way around this????

Cheers,
neora

I'm just going to agree with Neora, but for future readers with the same problem:
Defrag your disk before you install it and install the correct version for your operating system.
(Don't install Win2K3 on XP, for example)
