New Dell laptop showing less disk space than it should?

I recieved my new dell INSPIRON 640m laptop today it is meant to have 120gb harddisk as I ordered. However it shows 107gb harddisk total space in My Computer. The hard drive is a TOSHIBA MK1234GSX which has 120gb accoring to the website. So where is the missing hard disk space? Its a new laptop and I havent put anything on it yet.
