Hi, Don't know if you found anything in the last post but I am having trouble getting the broadband connection to work again on AOL. Its all installed and everything say's its installed correctly but just gives an error code everytime you try to connect to AOL. I will be cotacting AOL and will post you if it turns out to be anything with the malware infections.. :whistling:

I want you to check these services again,2 different ways please.


First use Msconfig--> Click Start--> Click Run--> Type in Msconfig and Click OK.

Click the Services tab and be sure every box there has a green check in it.

If you have to check anything,be sure to click Apply and OK.

You will be prompted to restart if you make any changes.


Click Start-> Run-> Type in Services.msc and Click OK

Using the list at eldergeek,go through all your services and be sure the settings are as suggested.

Once thats complete,post back and let me know and will proceed trying to sort the issues.

Hi again,

I've decided to reformat and install xp as I need to get this pc going again and I just cant get it on the net no matter what I try and everything seems and looks correct, so, thank you so much for your help and support. I will recommend your site to all my friends.
