using "repair" option frequently?

Im having major problems with my internet lately.I use Internet Explorer 7 & my laptops a xp professional (service pack 2 build 2600)and while online my internet will become unresponsive.So i go to my system tray & right click on my wireless network connection & use the "repair" option.My internet will work for a few minutes but then I have to "repair" again & soon Im using the "repair"option nearly every 5 minutes!What can I do to fix this?

Could be interference on the wireless channel you're using. Use your router software to change to a different channel, like wise with your wireless software to match.

Could be a wireless telephone to close to computer and/or router.

I use WirelessMon to detect access points & then I connect through an unsecure access point.
